Brightlight is a small team spread across Europe. We spent years sending invoices from spreadsheets, so we built the tool we wanted.
It started withone late invoice.
In 2021 a client paid Ruggero four months late. Not out of malice. The invoice sat in an inbox, the reminder felt awkward to send, and nobody noticed until the rent was due.
Every freelancer we talked to had the same story. Great at the work, worn out by the admin around it. Spreadsheets for invoices, sticky notes for reminders and a shoebox for tax.
Brightlight puts all of it in one place. You write the invoice, your client pays from a link, the reminders send themselves and the tax is already set aside. Today more than 12,000 freelancers and small studios bill through it every month.
